The Holocaust is remembered because of the terrible things that happened in this time. Around 6 million Jews were killed in concentration camps,and out of that number 1.5 million of them were children. One child that died in Aushwitz, the largest concentration camp, was Petr Ginz. Petr died there at the age of 16, 4 years after he wrote a book about the Nazi party. Many people made fantasy worlds like Nelly Toll. Some would exchange recipes to try and recreate their homes from before the war, like Frantiska Quastler. Many people were killed in this dreadful time. That is why I am glad it is over.

This spring break my family and I are going to have a “Staycation” which is a vacation where we don’t leave home. We will assign one day to each of our family members who gets to choose what we do that day. For example, my sister might choose to go to Kidstation, my brother could choose to take us to the ballfield, my mother might want to have us go to Sciport, and I might want to take us to Tyler, Texas  for assorted activities. This is what my family will do our spring break. What will you do?
